Become a Host Family

Many of the Michigan-Shiga Sister-State programs create unique opportunities for Michigan families to host guests from our sister state of Shiga. In alternating years we ask families around Michigan to host members of the Goodwill delegation from Shiga. We also need host families for other programs like the Otsu Children’s Choir and student exchanges. Hosting opportunities generally range from a few days to a few weeks.

Hosting someone from our sister state is a rewarding and enjoyable experience, and a great way to create international friendships, promote international understanding and to learn more about the world.
